Somali Federal Government accuses Taiwan administration of violating Somalia’s sovereignty

The Federal Government of Somalia has accused the Taiwanese administration of violating Somalia’s sovereignty by opening an embassy in Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland.

A statement from Somalia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Taiwan had violated Somalia’s sovereignty.

The Somali government has threatened to take any action it deems fit and that “The Federal Republic of Somalia stands for the preservation of its sovereignty, the unity of its people and its dignity.” Foreign Affairs.

A statement from the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Federal Government of Somalia is taking the necessary steps under international law to safeguard the Unity, Sovereignty, Unity and Political Independence of Somalia.
